Home remedies for bee stings:
Honey: Applying honey to a bee sting will reduce the symptoms for short periods of time. Not the most effective but will work for small amounts of time if it is all you have around.
Vinegar and Baking Soda: No you are not making a volcano for a school project. Apply the mix to your sting and let it fizz as you have seen in so many science fairs. The remedy does not work instantly, allow for up to thirty-minutes to feel the effects. The acid from the mix subsides the acid from the bee venom.
The best treatment: Toothpaste: Begins to works quickly and lasts for hours. Simply apply a dab of toothpaste to the sting and feel relief within fifteen-minutes. The alkaline toothpaste subsides the bee venom.
Remember, however, if you are allergic and get stung by a bee, seek medical attention immediately.
